The PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation Heritage Awards are presented each year to individuals or groups in recognition of architecture, writing, architectural preservation, genealogy and general heritage activities.
Presented to J.H. Brehaut by Her Honour the Honourable, Antoinette Perry, Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island at a ceremony held at Eptek Centre in Summerside, PEI on February 18, 2020.

That statement became the life motto for Dan MacDonald, who battled back from previous wounds received in the second World War to forge a remarkable career as a politician of national stature.
